Kazakhstan Boosts New-Crop Grain Exports to 5.1 Million Tons

Kazakhstan exported 5.1 million tons of grain from the new harvest between September 2025 and January 15, 2026, according to data released by Kazakhstan Temir Zholy. This marks a notable increase compared to the same period of the previous year, when grain exports totaled 4.3 million tons, BasAgro.kz reports.
The strongest growth was recorded in Kazakhstan’s key export destinations. Grain shipments to Uzbekistan rose by 40.2 percent, increasing from 1.67 million tons to 2.34 million tons. Exports to the Kyrgyz Republic also demonstrated strong momentum, surging by 76.5 percent to reach 150 thousand tons. Supplies to Afghanistan grew by 71.6 percent, climbing from 204 thousand tons to 350 thousand tons.
Overall, the rise in grain exports highlights the strong potential of Kazakhstan’s agro industrial sector, the competitiveness of its agricultural products, and the steady demand for Kazakh grain in both traditional and emerging markets.
