According to TRT Haber, powerful gusts intensified sea conditions along the coastline, generating high waves in districts such as Uskudar and Avcilar. Several small boats were reported to have sunk in coastal areas. Authorities noted that the strong winds are expected to persist until the evening.
In the Yenidogan neighborhood of Gaziosmanpasa, the roof of a two-story building was blown off, with debris damaging two parked vehicles. Firefighters were dispatched to the scene and carried out safety operations.
Due to adverse weather conditions, several sea transport routes were temporarily suspended. Increased wave activity also caused difficulties for residents walking or fishing along the shores of Uskudar, Zeytinburnu, Kuruçeşme and Avcilar.
