Event Marking The 15th Anniversary Of The Turkic Academy Held In Astana

A ceremonial event marking the 15th anniversary of the Turkic Academy, an international scientific organization dedicated to the study of the history, languages, literature and culture of Turkic peoples, was held in Astana, TuraNews.kz reported, citing Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

The event brought together representatives of government bodies, the diplomatic corps, international organizations, as well as leading scholars and experts in the field of Turkology.

In his welcoming remarks, Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek emphasized that the 15th anniversary represents a significant milestone reflecting the strengthening of scientific, cultural and spiritual cooperation within the Turkic world. He highlighted the Academy’s role in shaping a shared humanitarian and intellectual space among Turkic countries.

Established in 2010 at Kazakhstan’s initiative, the Turkic Academy has operated as a full-fledged international organization since 2022. Its current members include Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan and Türkiye, while Hungary and Uzbekistan hold observer status.

During the anniversary event, participants reviewed the Academy’s achievements and outlined priority areas for future cooperation in science and education.
