Kazakh Tennis Players Reach Quarterfinals Of Tournament In Türkiye

Kazakh tennis players Asylzhan Arystanbekova and Inkar Duissebay made a strong start in the doubles event at the ITF W15 tournament in Antalya, Türkiye, TuraNews.kz reports, citing Kazinform.

Seeded fourth, the Kazakh pair cruised past Ukrainian sisters Serafima and Sofia Vasylieva with a dominant 6–0, 6–0 victory in the opening round, advancing to the quarterfinals.

For a place in the semifinals, Arystanbekova and Duissebay will face Melinda Biro of Hungary and Claudia Gasparovic of Austria.

Another Kazakh duo, Amira Kaztugan and Yana Kim, were eliminated in the first round after losing to Turkish players Minel Naz Kaynak and Zeynep Polat — 2–6, 0–6.

In singles qualifying, only Arystanbekova advanced to the final among six Kazakh players, where she was defeated by Morocco’s Aya El Aouni — 2–6, 1–6. Despite the loss, she secured a spot in the main draw and will face Nanari Katsumi of Japan in the opening round.
