Astana Hosted the 4th General Assembly of Turkic Women Entrepreneurs

The 4th General Assembly of the Council of Women Entrepreneurs of Turkic States and the Women Forward: Business forum-exhibition took place on December 1 in Astana, bringing together initiatives aimed at supporting and expanding women-led entrepreneurship across the Turkic world.

The event focused on uniting women involved in business projects and creating broader opportunities for them in the international entrepreneurial environment. Panel discussions addressed the challenges faced by women entrepreneurs and explored practical solutions. Experts, entrepreneurs, investors and government representatives from Türkiye, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan and several other countries attended the forum.

The Ulytau region was represented by successful businesswomen — Tursynai Ibadatova, Gulnara Zagirova, Maral Zharaspayeva and Roza Rymbayeva. According to Gulmira Kazhenova, Director of the Regional Chamber of Entrepreneurs, the platform enabled open dialogue:

“Thanks to the forum, women entrepreneurs from different regions were able to raise their concerns and discuss the pressing issues affecting women-led businesses today. Discussions largely focused on financing programs, subsidies and international grant opportunities,” she said.

Lazzat Ramazanova, Chair of the Council of Women Entrepreneurs under the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Turkic States, emphasized that the forum aims to promote new technologies, strengthen international cooperation and enhance the economic role of women.

To mark the anniversary of ASMAR, several participants received “Bedeldi biznes” commemorative medals.
