Earthquake Felt in Almaty

According to the Seismological Research Institute of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations, seismic stations recorded an earthquake at 12:45 Astana time. The epicenter was located in China, approximately 277 kilometers southeast of Almaty.

Experts reported a magnitude of MPV 6.7 with a focal depth of 5 kilometers.
In Almaty and several nearby settlements, the quake was felt at an intensity of 2–3 points on the MSK-64 scale.

Authorities said no casualties or damage have been reported.
