The agency reports that on November 26, unfavorable meteorological conditions may develop in Almaty, Atyrau, Shymkent, Aktobe, Balkhash, Zhezkazgan and Pavlodar.
Such conditions arise when short-term weather patterns — including calm winds, light breezes, fog or temperature inversion — trap pollutants near the ground. As a result, harmful substances accumulate in the lower layers of the atmosphere.
Meteorologists warn that residents in these cities may experience noticeably poorer air quality throughout the day.
