Almaty has hosted the Founding Conference of the Central Asian University Sports Federation, initiated by the International University Sports Federation (FISU). The event brought together delegations from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Mongolia, TuraNews.kz reports citing UzA.
During the conference, representatives of the participating countries unanimously supported the creation of a new regional body — the Central Asian University Sports Federation. The organization aims to promote student sports across the region and strengthen cooperation within the international university sports movement.
