Players praised the tournament’s organization and atmosphere, leading the Almaty Open organizing committee to receive the “Award for Excellence in Tournament Organization” from the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP).
In the Asia-Pacific region, the same honor was shared with the Dubai (ATP 500) and Shanghai (ATP 1000) tournaments.
Currently, there are 27 ATP 250 tournaments on the professional tour, with each champion earning 250 ranking points. Of these, only six events — including the Almaty Open — are held in the Asia-Pacific region.
