In keeping with tradition, an honor guard was lined up in the ceremonial hall to greet the distinguished guest. The Presidential Orchestra performed the national anthems of both countries.
The two leaders then walked along the red carpet to the State Flag of Kazakhstan before proceeding to a private meeting.
During the visit, President Tokayev and President Stubb are scheduled to hold talks focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation and discussing key issues on the global and regional agenda.
