Kazakhstan–Tajikistan: Strengthening Cooperation at the Investment Forum

The prospects for expanding Kazakhstan–Tajikistan cooperation were discussed at the Dushanbe International Investment Forum 2025.

The second edition of the Dushanbe International Investment Forum was held under the theme “Green Investments: Today’s Opportunities for a Sustainable Future.”

The event was officially opened by the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon. More than 600 foreign guests from over 30 countries, along with representatives of international organizations and financial institutions, attended the forum. The Kazakh delegation was headed by First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Roman Sklyar.

In his speech at the plenary session, Sklyar emphasized that the forum has become an important platform for strengthening cooperation between the governments and business circles of both countries. The agenda included unlocking trade, economic, and investment potential, as well as expanding collaboration in industry, agriculture, finance, tourism, and other sectors in line with the development of a “green economy.”

He also underlined that the forum’s goals align with Kazakhstan’s current investment policy priorities, which focus on green transformation, improving energy efficiency, and advancing industrial digitalization.

Participants expressed confidence that the agreements and decisions reached at the forum will contribute to the further strengthening of bilateral relations in all key areas of partnership.

The next Dushanbe International Investment Forum is scheduled to take place in 2027 in Tajikistan.
