Chinese Companies Express Interest in Investing in Uzbekistan’s Mining Sector
Representatives of major Chinese industrial corporations have shown interest in developing Uzbekistan’s mining and processing industries.

According to the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan, Deputy Minister Ilzat Kasymov held talks with a Chinese delegation that included executives from Jinchuan Group, Baide Chemical, and Shandong Junan Ecological Agriculture Technology.
The discussions focused on cooperation opportunities in the extraction and advanced processing of mineral resources in the Surkhandarya region, as well as the introduction of modern technologies and the mobilization of investment to strengthen local infrastructure.
Following the meeting, both sides agreed to organize a field visit to potential project sites for preliminary evaluation and to draft a joint “roadmap” for future collaboration.
Jinchuan Group, one of China’s top 500 enterprises, ranks among the world’s largest producers of non-ferrous and rare-earth metals — third globally in nickel production and fourth in cobalt output.
