
The event gathered participants, experts, and representatives from the system of technical and vocational education across Turkic countries, reports El.kz.
The main goal of the championship is to promote best practices in vocational education, strengthen international cooperation, and enhance the professional potential of young people.
Among the guests of honor were Mayra Meldebekova, First Vice Minister of Education of Kazakhstan; Nurlan Kilybay, Akim (Governor) of Mangystau Region; as well as veterans of technical and vocational education.
“President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s declaration of 2025 as the Year of Vocational Professions marks an important milestone in modernizing our education system. The TurkicSkills Championship is one of the key events of this initiative. It not only highlights the skills of our youth but also strengthens cooperation, knowledge sharing, and innovation among Turkic states,” said First Vice Minister Mayra Meldebekova.
More than 60 young professionals and 80 experts are taking part in the competition, which features categories such as IT, engineering, production technologies, and service industries.
The TurkicSkills Championship will continue until October 9, after which the winners will be recognized among the most talented vocational specialists of the Turkic world.
