Cultural Cooperation Among Turkic Nations Strengthens
On September 19, 2025, the Consul General of Kazakhstan in Samarkand, Talgat Sharipov, attended the opening ceremony of a new educational complex dedicated to Turkology studies at Sharof Rashidov Samarkand State University.

The event gathered the university’s rector, Professor Rustam Khalmuradov, Deputy Head of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) Ümit Naci Yorulmaz, and Director of the Institute of Languages and Culture of Central Asian Peoples, Juliboy Eltazarov.
Speakers highlighted the significance of the project in promoting academic and cultural cooperation among Turkic countries, fostering the shared historical and cultural heritage, and training a new generation of specialists in Turkology.
Equipped with modern facilities, the new center will serve as a hub for lectures, seminars, and research on the history, language, and culture of Turkic peoples.
It was also noted that in October 2024, the Institute of Languages and Culture of Central Asian Peoples inaugurated the Abai Scientific and Cultural Center and a dedicated Kazakh language and literature classroom, further strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties across the Turkic world.
