Kyrgyzstan Introduces National Logo Featuring the Snow Leopard

Kyrgyzstan has unveiled a new national emblem — a logo depicting the snow leopard, a powerful symbol of the country’s nature and heritage.

The Cabinet of Ministers has submitted a draft resolution, “On Recognizing the Snow Leopard as a National Symbol of the Kyrgyz Republic,” for public review, Kazinform reports.

The proposed logo will be used at both national and international levels. It is expected to feature in the design of national holidays and commemorations, appear on coins and banknotes, the presidential aircraft, and architectural elements such as facades, fountains, and monuments. It will also be part of educational and scientific programs aimed at protecting biodiversity, cultural heritage, and mountain ecosystems.

Businesses and entrepreneurs will be allowed to use the logo on products, including souvenirs, buildings, vehicles, and as part of tourism campaigns and media advertising. National companies will also have the right to showcase the logo in brochures, presentations, and promotional materials at international events to identify Kyrgyz-made products and boost the country’s tourism image.

Officials emphasize that the snow leopard is not just a visual emblem but a reflection of key values for the Kyrgyz people — freedom, strength, nobility, and the pursuit of progress. The new logo aims to capture the spirit of modern Kyrgyzstan while honoring its cultural roots and aspirations for the future.
