Kyrgyzstan to Host 2nd TURKSOY Turkic World Youth Forum

On August 10, 2025, TURKSOY Deputy Secretary General Sayit Yusuf met with Alaybek Shamshev, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs at Kyrgyz National University, to discuss strengthening cooperation in cultural, educational, and academic fields.

The meeting concluded with a decision to hold the 2nd TURKSOY Turkic World Youth Forum in Kyrgyzstan from October 23 to 25, 2025, under the theme “The Future is You!” The event aims to bring together young representatives of Turkic nations, enhance cultural ties, and promote joint initiatives.

Yusuf highlighted the success of the first forum, held in 2024 at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Almaty, and announced that this year’s gathering will host participants from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Türkiye, Turkmenistan, as well as Hungary, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, and Moldova. He stressed that the forum would serve as a vital platform for young Turkic leaders to meet, exchange ideas, and develop solutions to shared challenges.

Shamshev handed Yusuf an official letter confirming the university’s readiness to co-host the event with TURKSOY. The meeting was also attended by Vice-Rector for Research Mirzabek Kamchybek uulu, United Trade Union Committee Chair Kubanychbek Zhumabekov, and Head of the Department for Academic Mobility Saadat Shermatova.

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov is expected to attend the forum, which organizers say will further strengthen brotherhood and unity among Turkic youth.
