Türkiye Earns $25.8 Billion from Tourism in First Half of 2025

Türkiye hosted approximately 26.4 million international tourists between January and June 2025, marking a 1% increase compared to the same period last year. The country’s tourism revenues reached $25.8 billion, up by 7.6%.

According to Türkiye’s Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, international visitors stayed an average of 10 nights and spent $106 per person per night — an 8% rise from 2024.

“Despite ongoing geopolitical challenges, Türkiye maintains steady growth in tourism. Our strategy to diversify destinations and source markets is proving effective,” Ersoy stated during a press conference in Istanbul.

The top source countries for visitors in the first six months were Russia (2.61 million), Germany (2.42 million), and the United Kingdom (1.75 million). More than 130,000 visitors came from Kazakhstan.

Türkiye also recorded notable increases in visitors from the Americas, Central Asia, and Asia-Pacific regions.

According to 2024 UN Tourism data, Türkiye ranks as the world’s fourth most visited destination.
