Famous Kyrgyz writer Chingiz Aitmatov commemorated on the 94th anniversary of his birth

World-renowned Kyrgyz writer, statesman, diplomat and politician Cengiz Aytmatov was commemorated on the 94th anniversary of his birth.

In the memory of the writer Aitmatov, his family and students laid flowers and prayed, on the grave the Ata-Beyit Cemetery where he passed away into eternal rest.

Aytmatov was born on December 12, 1928 in the Sheker village of Talas region in Kyrgyzstan.

Aitmatov went for the shooting of a Russian television channel to the capital of Tatarstan, Kazan and he fell ill in there. After that he passed away on June 10, 2008 in Germany where he was taken for treatment.

Aitmatov was buried next to the grave of his father, Toleykul Aitmatov, in the Ata-Beyit National History and Memorial Complex in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan.

Turkey had known Aitmatov with his novel “Selvi Boylum Al Yazmalım”, which he wrote in 1970.
