Traffic Restrictions in Central Almaty on June 27 Due to Police Day Festival
The Almaty Police Department has announced temporary traffic restrictions in the city center on the evening of June 27 due to the “Police — The Nation’s Shield” festival, dedicated to Kazakhstan’s Police Day.
From 19:00 to 23:00, partial road closures will be in effect near the Republic Palace in the following areas:
- Dostyk Avenue — from Kurmangazy Street to Satpayev Street (both directions);
- Abay Avenue — from Dostyk Avenue to Nazarbayev Avenue (both directions).
Authorities say the measures aim to ensure public safety during the large gathering. Drivers are advised to plan alternative routes and show understanding toward the temporary inconvenience.
