Coca-Cola İçecek Aims to Expand Production in Kazakhstan
Kazakhstan's Minister of Agriculture, Aidarbek Saparov, met with Guzel Erdinc, Regional Director for Central Asia and the Caucasus at Coca-Cola İçecek A.Ş. Kazakhstan, to discuss expanding the company’s operations and boosting investments in the country.
Saparov highlighted Coca-Cola’s positive contribution to the national economy, noting continued growth in demand for non-alcoholic beverages.
In 2024, Kazakhstan produced 2.49 billion liters of soft drinks, a 3% increase from 2023. Export volumes reached 436,600 tons worth $201.2 million—up 12.2% year-on-year. Imports slightly declined to 393,400 tons ($208.5 million). The total value of domestically produced beverages in 2024 amounted to 920.4 billion tenge.
Coca-Cola İçecek A.Ş. has operated in Kazakhstan since 1994 and currently runs production facilities in Almaty region, Astana, and Shymkent, with a combined annual capacity exceeding 1 billion liters.
The company has invested over 106 billion tenge in the national economy and plans further investments to expand its production, create jobs, and implement sustainable technologies. Erdinc emphasized Coca-Cola’s long-term commitment to Kazakhstan’s growth.
Minister Saparov reaffirmed the Ministry’s readiness to support initiatives that foster technological modernization, increase exports, and enhance food security in the country.
