Turkic Youth Unite in Tashkent for Diaspora Forum
The 3rd Turkic Diaspora Youth Forum was held in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, under the auspices of the Organization of Turkic States. The event brought together young representatives from Turkic nations to reaffirm shared heritage and strengthen cultural ties in an era of globalization.
According to Khabar 24, the forum opened with an art exhibition showcasing the rich cultural legacy of the Turkic world. One of the key highlights was the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the TURKSOY organization, marked by a creative performance reflecting the common values and traditions of the participating nations.
Kazakhstan, a founding member of TURKSOY, continues to play an active role through its representatives based in the Ankara headquarters. The organization has supported major cultural milestones, including the international recognition of the 150th anniversary of Akhmet Baitursynuly and the 125th anniversary of Mukhtar Auezov, as well as promoting Kazakh cinema through the Korkut Ata Film Festival.
Kazakhstan’s Vice Minister of Culture and Sports, Nurgisa Dauyeshov, stated:
“TURKSOY’s anniversary marks not only its longevity but also its achievements in strengthening Turkic identity. In today’s global world, it is our mission to pass down the culture and art of our ancestors. This year’s plans reflect that goal,” he noted.
