III Turkic World Student Theater Festival Ongoing in Almaty

The III Turkic World Student Theater Festival, organized by TURKSOY, is in full swing in Kazakhstan’s cultural capital, Almaty, drawing large audiences and enthusiastic participation.

The festival opened with a performance of Kobylandy, a play based on a Kazakh folk epic, staged by students of the T. Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts. The show received significant attention from spectators.

On the second day, student troupes from Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan took the stage. Students from the Turkmen State Institute of Culture performed A Mother’s Testament, a play written by Turkmenistan’s National Leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow. The day concluded with a performance of Kashaba, a play by TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev, presented by students from Kyrgyzstan’s B. Beishenaliev National University of Culture and Arts.
