According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic, 36 houses in Kok-Zhar, 28 in Zhana-Talap along with a cultural center, 21 in Ak-Kyia and a school, and 7 in Kadyraly including a school and a shop were affected. Cracks were also reported in the walls of 7 houses and a school in Kara-Oy.
Out of the 99 damaged homes, 46 were insured, while 53 lacked insurance coverage. A district-level commission continues to assess the damage on site.
This comes after seismic activity was also recorded in two other Kyrgyz regions in April.
