Kazakhstan’s Vice Minister of Transport, Talgat Lastayev, met with Jordan’s Ambassador to Kazakhstan, Hamza Al-Omari, to discuss bilateral cooperation in aviation. The meeting follows the official visit of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Jordan earlier this year, during which the Jordanian side expressed interest in launching direct flights to Kazakhstan.
Ambassador Al-Omari announced that Royal Jordanian Airlines plans to operate two direct flights per week starting in June 2026. In response, Kazakh officials confirmed their readiness to provide full support in facilitating the launch of the route under existing agreements.
The parties also reviewed the Air Services Agreement, which is expected to be signed soon, and discussed the mutual recognition of maritime crew diplomas, further strengthening bilateral cooperation across transportation sectors.
