Uzbekistan and China to Launch 30-Day Visa-Free Regime Starting June 1
A new visa-free travel agreement between Uzbekistan and China will take effect on June 1, 2025, allowing citizens of both countries to visit each other for up to 30 days without a visa, Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.

The intergovernmental deal was signed by the foreign ministers in December 2024, following a mutual expression of interest in November. All internal procedures for its implementation have now been completed.
“The stay must not exceed 30 days. Travelers intending to stay longer must obtain a visa in advance,” the Ministry stated.
However, the agreement does not apply to travel to China’s Special Administrative Regions such as Hong Kong and Macau.
The visa-free initiative is seen as a significant step toward strengthening diplomatic, tourism, and business ties between the two nations.
