18 Killed in Israeli Airstrikes on Gaza, Including Attacks on Refugee Shelter

At least 18 Palestinians have been killed in a series of Israeli airstrikes targeting various areas in the Gaza Strip, including a school sheltering displaced families, according to medical sources.

Israeli fighter jets struck the Fatima Bint Asad School in northern Gaza twice, killing 16 people, including women and children.

Eyewitnesses reported that Israeli forces also heavily shelled several buildings in the Tuffah district in eastern Gaza, causing significant destruction.

In another incident, an Israeli drone targeted an area near the Hammad al-Hassanat Mosque in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, killing a young girl.

Separately, a Palestinian wounded days earlier during a strike on the Abu Khamis School in the Bureij refugee camp succumbed to his injuries.

The escalating conflict has had a devastating impact on civilians, with nearly 1,500 Palestinians in Gaza reportedly having lost their eyesight as a result of the ongoing violence.
