Kazakhstan and UAE Deepen Strategic Ties During Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Visit

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held high-level talks with Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, who arrived in Kazakhstan on an official visit. The meeting began with an official welcoming ceremony at the Akorda Presidential Palace.

President Tokayev emphasized the significance of the visit, noting it would give a strong boost to Kazakhstan–UAE relations. He highlighted that the United Arab Emirates is one of Kazakhstan’s key strategic partners, sharing common goals and visions. In 2023, both nations signed a Joint Declaration on implementing strategic investment projects.

The UAE is among the top ten foreign investors in Kazakhstan. In 2024, direct investments from the UAE more than doubled, reaching record levels. President Tokayev welcomed the signing of over 20 commercial agreements during the visit, amounting to a total value of $5 billion. These agreements are expected to greatly enhance bilateral cooperation and accelerate strategic collaboration across multiple sectors.

Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and emphasized his deep appreciation for Kazakhstan’s natural beauty and the hospitality of its people. He underlined that the relationship between the two nations is rooted in trust, mutual support, and a shared vision for progress, expanding beyond trade and investment into areas such as energy, transport, digital infrastructure, and education.
