The 8th International Book Exhibition and Fair “Astana Eurasian Book Fair – 2025” will be held from April 23 to 27 in the capital city of Kazakhstan.

The event is organized by “Foliant,” a multidisciplinary Kazakhstani publishing house that has been active in the industry since 1996.

This year’s fair will welcome 70 participants from Kazakhstan, Türkiye, Russia, Iran, Uzbekistan, Spain, Portugal, and China — including publishing houses, book retail networks, academic and educational institutions, and printing companies.

The exhibition aims to promote reading, foster a culture of conscious reading, showcase new book releases, present technological advancements in publishing, and expand international literary and publishing cooperation.

  • Prize draws and giveaways of valuable and memorable gifts

The official opening ceremony will take place at 11:00 AM on April 23, with the participation of government officials, public figures, celebrated writers, and foreign diplomats.

A key tradition of the fair is the “Best Book of the Year” contest, featuring the following categories:

  • Book of the Year

  • Best Debut

  • Best Fiction Book

  • Best Non-Fiction Book

  • Grand Prix by TURKSOY (International Organization of Turkic Culture)
