Baku, Tbilisi, Ankara, and Sofia Agree to Build “Green” Energy Corridor

On April 4, energy ministers from Azerbaijan, Georgia, Türkiye, and Bulgaria signed a memorandum in Baku to establish a green energy corridor. The agreement was concluded during a ministerial meeting under the Green Energy Advisory Council.

The corridor aims to deliver renewable electricity from the Caspian region to Southeast Europe, including Bulgaria, Romania, and Hungary.

The deal focuses on strengthening public-private cooperation, modernizing energy systems, and promoting joint green energy projects. The memorandum is valid for three years and can be automatically extended.
