
According to the company’s statement, in watchmaking, complexity refers to any function beyond standard timekeeping, such as the Gregorian calendar or moon phase indicators.
The unique timepiece, showcased at the Watches and Wonders exhibition in Switzerland, consists of 1,521 individual components and features three different methods of time measurement:
- Traditional 24-hour day
- Sidereal time, based on Earth’s axial rotation, which is about four minutes shorter than a calendar day
- Solar time, adjusted for Earth’s elliptical orbit

Dubbed a “masterpiece of innovation,” the watch is crafted from 18-carat white gold and adorned with over 200 precious stones, including sapphire discs.
