Erdogan Calls for an End to Provocations
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has called on protesters to maintain public order.

Speaking on television after Monday’s government meeting, Erdogan accused the opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) of disrupting public order and labeled the protests a “movement of violence.”
— I have made this call several times before, and I repeat it today: stop the provocations and do not disturb the peace of our citizens, — Erdogan stated.
He also warned CHP leader Özgür Özel that he would be held accountable for the unrest.
— There will be both political responsibility in parliament and legal responsibility in court for these actions, — the Turkish leader emphasized.
It is worth noting that on March 19, an arrest warrant was issued for Istanbul Mayor Ekrem Imamoğlu.
