
According to official data, over 195,000 international tourists visited Bukhara in January and February 2025 alone. Tourism services provided to these visitors have contributed $53.3 million in export revenue. Additionally, 665,200 domestic tourists from different regions of Uzbekistan have also explored the city.
As reported by UzA, under the “Travel Across Uzbekistan!” program, 63,500 tourists have traveled from Bukhara to other regions of the country, including employees from various local enterprises and institutions.
To further develop tourism, infrastructure improvements are being actively implemented. In the first two months of the year, six new accommodation facilities were launched, including one hotel, four family-run guesthouses, and six newly established tour operators and agencies.
By the end of the year, Bukhara is expected to welcome over 2.2 million foreign tourists and more than 4 million domestic travelers. The growing influx of visitors will undoubtedly reinforce the city’s significance on the global tourism map.
