Plans for Further Development of Turkic Integration Discussed in Istanbul

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Alibek Bakayev, participated in the 5th meeting of the Coordination Committee of Turkic Cooperation Organizations.

The meeting brought together deputy foreign ministers from the member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) and heads of various Turkic cooperation organizations, including the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY), the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA), the Turkic Academy, the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, and the Turkic Investment Fund.

During the session, organization leaders presented reports on their activities and outlined their future plans.

Bakayev emphasized the importance of timely and effective implementation of decisions made by heads of state at the 2024 summits in Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan. He also stressed the need to enhance the efficiency of Turkic institutions.

A flag-raising ceremony for the Organization of Turkic States was held in front of the OTS Secretariat building with the participation of delegation heads. The flag was officially adopted during the 11th OTS Summit on November 6, 2024.

Additionally, Bakayev held a bilateral meeting with his Turkish counterpart, Ayşe Berris Ekenci, where they discussed key aspects of Kazakh-Turkish relations and the schedule of upcoming high-level meetings.

The meeting outcomes outlined the future direction of Turkic cooperation organizations and reaffirmed the mutual commitment to addressing pressing issues on the regional agenda.
