Kyrgyzstan Proposes Visa-Free Regime for Central Asian Countries

Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov has proposed introducing a visa-free regime among Central Asian countries and establishing a unified visa system for foreign travelers.

In a statement on his official Facebook page, Japarov emphasized that the historic agreement on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border dispute, signed on March 13, marks the resolution of a 101-year-old territorial issue.

“From now on, we can say that all border issues in Central Asia have been settled. This is a historic event not only for Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan but for the entire region. With this, eternal peace has been established in Central Asia,” he stated.

Japarov suggested launching the process of a mutual visa-free regime among Central Asian nations and developing a single visa for foreign visitors, enabling them to travel freely across the region.
