Speaking at an expanded session of the National Anti-Corruption Council, the head of state emphasized the urgent need to implement an income declaration system for government officials.
In this regard, Mirziyoyev instructed relevant authorities to submit the draft law for public discussion as soon as possible. The document must be presented to parliament by April 1.
— It is necessary to consider holding those who have illegally enriched themselves accountable. In this context, I propose adding a relevant provision to the legislation. A public official must be able to justify the source of any assets that do not match their declared income, — said President Mirziyoyev.
