Kazakh and Kyrgyz Leaders Discuss Strengthening Strategic Partnership
President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Chief of Staff of the President of Kyrgyzstan, Adylbek Kasymaliyev, to discuss the deepening of strategic cooperation between the two nations.

President Tokayev congratulated Kasymaliyev on his appointment and emphasized the significance of his first official visit to Astana in strengthening the bonds of friendship and alliance between the two brotherly countries.
“I would like to highlight the dynamic development of Kazakh-Kyrgyz cooperation. The official visit of President Sadyr Japarov to Kazakhstan last year gave new momentum to our bilateral relations. Taking this opportunity, I send my warm regards to President Japarov,” Tokayev stated.
The President stressed that a key task for both governments is ensuring the full implementation of agreements reached at the highest level. He underscored the importance of increasing trade volumes, expediting the launch of the Industrial Trade and Logistics Complex on the Kazakh-Kyrgyz border, and creating favorable conditions for transit and transport connectivity.
In response, Adylbek Kasymaliyev expressed gratitude for the warm welcome extended to the Kyrgyz delegation and conveyed President Japarov’s best wishes.
“Our President consistently prioritizes the strengthening of friendly and neighborly relations with Kazakhstan. Thanks to the agreements reached during high-level meetings, cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan continues to grow in political, trade-economic, water-energy, and cultural spheres,” Kasymaliyev stated.
He assured that all tasks set by the heads of state are being meticulously worked out with Kazakh counterparts.
During the meeting, particular attention was given to the implementation of joint investment projects and cooperation in the water-energy sector.
