Ankara Commemorates 100th Anniversary of Bakhtiyar Vahabzade
A commemoration event marking the 100th anniversary of renowned Azerbaijani poet and writer Bakhtiyar Vahabzade was held at the Bakhtiyar Vahabzade Secondary School in Ankara/Türkiye.
The event was attended by representatives from TURKSOY, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Culture, and prominent cultural and educational figures.
Participants highlighted Vahabzade’s significance to the Turkic world and announced plans for extensive commemorative events. Students performed Vahabzade’s poems and songs, and traditional Azerbaijani music was presented.
The event concluded with the presentation of a portrait of Vahabzade to the school and commemorative awards to participants.
