Largest Robotics and Drone Championship in Central Asia Kicks Off in Almaty
The tournament has brought together over 3,000 participants, including 20 international teams from India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Turkmenistan, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan.

Students are showcasing their scientific projects and startups in four age categories: First Lego League Discover (ages 4-6), Explore (6-10), Challenge (10-16), and First Tech Challenge (12-18).
The drone competition features three categories: Aspan Drone Competition (programming and piloting), Aspan Cyber Competition (virtual racing on VelociDrone), and Aspan Drone Race (FPV drone racing).
Winners will earn the chance to compete in South Korea, Europe, China, and Türkiye, as well as at the global championship in Houston, Texas.
Kazakhstan is the reigning three-time world champion in robotics among 190 countries, setting a record at last year’s tournament in Athens.
