Kazakh Passengers May Face a $120,000 Fine Over In-Flight Brawl

A fight on a Pegasus Airlines flight from Antalya to Astana forced an emergency landing in Türkiye.

A Pegasus Airlines flight en route from Antalya to Astana was forced to make an emergency landing in Erzurum, Türkiye, following a heated altercation between passengers.

The conflict reportedly began between a Ukrainian couple and two Kazakh passengers, escalating into a physical fight. Concerned for the safety of those on board, the flight crew decided to make an unscheduled landing.

“During the Antalya – Astana flight, a dispute broke out between a Ukrainian couple and two pro-Russian Kazakh passengers, leading to an emergency landing in Erzurum. All four individuals sustained injuries, were taken to the hospital, and later handed over to the police,” @clashreport stated.

According to Turkish media, Pegasus Airlines is now seeking financial compensation from those involved for the emergency landing and refueling costs, which are estimated to be around $120,000 USD.
