Almaty Puppet Theater on the way to world recognition

The theater not only goes on tour abroad, but also turns Almaty into an international center for cultural cooperation. In 2023-2024, the “Almaty Puppet Festival” was held here, in which groups from Poland, Georgia, Turkey, the Czech Republic and other countries took part.

In 2024, the State Puppet Theater won the grand prize at the international festival in Ottawa, Canada.

Last year, the theater presented five new productions that were popular with the audience. Among them are the performances “Champion”, “Puss in Boots” and “The Snow Queen”. And the production “Macbeth. Illusion” won the hearts of Georgian viewers, gathering more than 1,000 people.
