According to the Kyrgyz National Security Committee (GKNB), the current and former “masuls” (country leaders), a financier, and “musoids” (masul’s assistants) of the organization were detained as part of an ongoing criminal case.
The GKNB statement revealed that “Hizb ut-Tahrir” members, under the direction of the detainees, had been involved in spreading extremist ideology, recruiting new members, creating fake online accounts, and operating an underground printing facility to produce and distribute extremist materials. The organization also ran a network to collect funds from members across the country, which were then misappropriated by high-ranking officials.
