Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated Irakli Kobakhidze on his reappointment as Prime Minister and wished him success in his role. The President highlighted Georgia’s significant economic growth, noting an impressive GDP increase of 9.4%.
The Kazakh leader praised the development of Kazakhstan-Georgia relations, calling Georgia a reliable partner in the Caucasus region. He emphasized the strong historical and friendly ties between the two countries.
“Kazakhstan and Georgia cooperate effectively at various levels, including parliamentary and governmental collaboration,” Tokayev stated.
In response, Irakli Kobakhidze expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and noted that Kazakhstan was one of the first countries he visited after assuming office. He reaffirmed Georgia’s commitment to deepening its multifaceted ties with Kazakhstan.
“Political and economic cooperation between our countries is of great importance to us. We are ready to support Kazakhstan’s interests in various formats, including multilateral international platforms,” the Prime Minister said.
During the talks, special attention was given to increasing cargo transit along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route and modernizing transit infrastructure. The leaders also discussed expanding cooperation in trade, energy, investment, tourism, artificial intelligence, and digitalization.
Additionally, the Georgian Prime Minister invited President Tokayev to visit Tbilisi for an official visit.
