Asel Zhanasova, the Chairperson of Kazpost, reported that over the past two years, Kazpost achieved a net profit and contributed 45 billion tenge in taxes and duties to the national budget.
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was informed that Kazpost had entered the top 50 postal operators globally, according to the Universal Postal Union ranking. Thanks to the optimization of logistics processes, the volume of postal shipments increased by 26%, including 20 million parcels processed, of which 9 million were international.
The President was also briefed on the HomePost project, which has opened 180 parcel pickup points at local stores, with the number expected to reach 1,000 in 2025. Through collaboration with YTO Express, investments amounting to $50 million have been attracted to modernize the postal infrastructure.
Zhanasova further discussed the implementation of innovations aimed at improving service quality. Joint projects with Japan Post, Toshiba, and Cainiao in logistics and transit are underway. Additionally, the Keruen service continues to develop, providing convenient access to international marketplaces.
The President was also presented with information regarding a partnership with the Turkish company S-Sistem to construct a multimodal warehouse with an area of 15,000 m² at the Aktobe airport.
Following the meeting, the President instructed that the financial rehabilitation of the company, the development of transit and logistics potential in e-commerce within the CIS countries, and the implementation of digital solutions continue.
