Uralsk Airport Achieves Record-Breaking Passenger Numbers in 2024

In 2024, Uralsk airport served more than 500 thousand passengers.

The Manshuk Mametova International Airport in Uralsk has set a remarkable milestone, serving over 540,000 passengers in 2024 – the highest number in its 55-year history. Compared to 2023, passenger traffic grew by an impressive 23%, according to the airport’s press service,.

The majority of passengers – more than 480,000 – traveled on domestic routes, with flights to Astana and Almaty remaining the most popular. Routes to nearby Atyrau also saw significant demand. Among international destinations, Antalya topped the list as the favorite choice for travelers.

In 2024, the airport offered flights to 10 destinations, including 4 international routes. This expansion reflects the growing role of Uralsk Airport as a key hub for both domestic and international travel.

Beyond numbers, the airport has been making strides to enhance passenger experience and improve its services. Over the past year, several major upgrades were implemented, including the addition of new firefighting equipment, a front-end loader, two advanced BOSCHUNG snow-clearing machines, and a multipurpose road maintenance vehicle. To further streamline operations, the airport also acquired two enclosed boarding stairs, a de-icing fluid distributor, and other mechanized equipment.

As these developments show, Manshuk Mametova International Airport is not just breaking records – it’s laying the groundwork for a future of improved services and greater connectivity for travelers.
