At the Atatürk Cultural Center, the new national opera, which brought together creative talents from various countries, became a landmark event in the cultural sphere. During its preparation, consultations were held with prominent historians of the Golden Horde, including Ilnur Mirgaliev, Ilyas Kemaloglu, and Nurlan Atygayev, ensuring a detailed and accurate portrayal of historical events.
Over two days, 4,080 spectators experienced a journey into the era of the formation of the Golden Horde, one of the largest medieval empires. The audience was immersed in significant historical events and remarkable moments of the past.
More than 300 opera, choir, and ballet artists participated in the performance. The symphonic orchestra, stage transformations, light effects, and video projections left an unforgettable impression on the viewers.
It is worth noting that the premiere of “Khan Sultan: Golden Horde” was first staged in Almaty on November 29–30 and December 1, 2024.
