A Branch of Cairo University to Open in Tashkent

A delegation led by the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Cairo, Mansurbek Kilichev, held a meeting with Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdul-Saddik, the President of Cairo University.

According to Uzbekistan National News Agency (UzA), during the meeting, issues of cooperation in academic and research fields, student exchange, and collaboration between professors and students were discussed.

“The agreement was reached to further expand the rapidly growing partnership in education between Uzbekistan and Egypt, focusing particularly on Oriental studies and architecture. Additionally, positions for professors and students will be allocated for the master’s programs in Cairo University’s key specialties,” the statement read.

Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdul-Saddik provided detailed information about the history of Cairo University, its associated institutes and faculties, as well as the number of Egyptian and international students enrolled at the university.

It’s worth mentioning that Cairo University ranked 39th in the November 2024 Times Higher Education rankings among 749 universities from 92 countries and regions.
