McDonald's announced Thursday it was suspending operations in Kazakhstan
The press service of the company shared the information about the temporarily suspend in operations on yesterday.
“McDonald’s in Kazakhstan (Food Solutions KZ LLP) is temporarily suspending all of its restaurants from November 18 due to local supply restrictions. The company is making every effort to resume operations as soon as possible. Restaurant opening times will be announced at a later date.”
“Food Solutions KZ LLP has been operating in the Republic of Kazakhstan for over 6 years and is one of the leaders in the fast food restaurant industry. The company has 24 McDonald’s restaurants in the following cities of Kazakhstan: Almaty, Astana, Atyrau, Aktobe, Kostanay, Karaganda and employs about 2,000 people. During the period of its activity, Food Solutions KZ LLP has paid taxes in the amount of more than 3 billion tenge and is actively involved in helping society. Over the past six years, the company has donated more than 80 million tenge to charity” was written on the statement.
The Company is one of popular food chains in the country. The first McDonald’s restaurant in Kazakhstan opened in 2016.
