According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the talks were held during a meeting of the intergovernmental Turkmen-Russian commission on economic cooperation, co-chaired by Turkmenistan’s Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov and Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk.
Initially, the discussions focused on critical aspects of mutual interest, after which they expanded to include heads and representatives from various ministries and departments of both nations. The participants underscored the significance of this meeting in addressing current cooperation issues and exploring new avenues for joint activities. Key areas of focus included the implementation of existing projects, particularly in transport and electric power sectors.
