Parliamentary Elections in Uzbekistan: Voter Turnout Update

On October 28, Uzbekistan’s Central Election Commission plans to hold several briefings to provide updates on the election.

On October 27, Uzbekistan held elections for deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, as well as local councils across provinces, cities, and districts. By midday, the elections were declared valid.

As of 5:00 p.m., voter turnout reached 71.52%, with 14,264,994 out of more than 19.9 million registered voters casting their ballots. The lowest turnout was recorded in Tashkent at 62.39%. Voting concluded at 8:00 p.m., and the final election results will be announced within 10 days.

According to Gazeta.uz, voter turnout by region was as follows:

– Karakalpakstan: 70.95%

– Andijan Region: 75.16%

– Bukhara Region: 71.29%

– Jizzakh Region: 72.76%

– Navoi Region: 70.93%

– Namangan Region: 74.98%

– Samarkand Region: 73.98%

– Syrdarya Region: 70.89%

– Surkhandarya Region: 73.08%

– Tashkent Region: 66.03%

– Fergana Region: 75.71%

– Khorezm Region: 67.24%

– Kashkadarya Region: 73.45%

– Tashkent: 62.39%
