Kyrgyzstan Aims to Launch 100 Industrial Facilities Annually

Kyrgyzstan's Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Akylbek Japarov, announced plans to launch 100 industrial facilities each year as part of the country's strategy for large-scale industrialization. Japarov made this statement during a ceremonial event marking the 100th anniversary of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce.

According to reports from the Cabinet of Ministers, Japarov highlighted the importance of innovation, technological literacy, and engineering thinking in achieving these ambitious goals.

He also noted that in 2023, Kyrgyzstan’s foreign trade turnover in services reached nearly $5.4 billion, nearly doubling compared to the previous year.

Japarov emphasized the transformation of Kyrgyzstan from a small link on the global map into a significant transport hub connecting various countries and continents. He mentioned that the country’s GDP exceeded 1.2 trillion soms (approximately $13.7 billion) last year and is projected to reach 1.5 trillion soms (about $17.5 billion) this year. Furthermore, he stated that the country’s budget has increased threefold over the past three years.
